ReadKiddoRead – check it out!
The other day my school librarian passed along the link to James Patterson’s terrific website. Have you seen it?
It features a great selection of books
under four categories: “Great Illustrated Books,” “Great Transitional Books,” “Great Pageturners,” and “Great Advanced Reads.”
Under these four categories, are tabs with subgroups. For example, under “Great Illustrated Reads” are: Books for Babies, Storybooks, Easy Kid Reads, and Just the Facts.
Under “Great Advanced Reads” are: Fantasy and Other Worlds, Real World Fiction, Action/Adventure/Mystery, and Just the Facts.
What a wonderful resource for parents and others interested in sharing good books with children.
Of course there are many other such resources on the web, but what I particularly like about this
website is that it’s a short list of some very fine books. And as a “starting point,” I think it fits the bill very nicely.
