Mary and Robin of Shrinking Violet Promotions have been talking lately about the Twitter phenomenon. Check out their thoughts here and here, here and here, and finally here.  If you hadn’t already come to the conclusion that Twitter *might* not be your cup of tea, this list of posts could seal the deal for you.

If you’re still willing to give it a try, have more free time on your hands than most of us, OR if you have a gift for time management and haven’t become completely overwhelmed, the Shrinking Violets have started a Twitter Directory for writers and others interested in (the business of ) children’s writing.

If Twitter is just.too.much, then maybe Flutter’s what you’re looking for. This video, which circulated a while back, gives all the details.  Even if you’ve seen it before, it’s worth watching again for a spot-on humorous look at micro/nano blogging: Flutter: The New Twitter.

Love this video – it puts it all in perspective and makes fun of all our social networking with kind humor…….

That video makes me laugh! I especially like the part at the end, where the girl says she’s going to start her own company: “10 characters, no vowels…” Ha!
