“Back-to-School” Cocoon

I am living in the “Back-to-School” Cocoon. New students, new grade level, new work. Every day I am busy busy. My 
nights are consumed with reading, planning, correcting. My days are a rush of conversations, notes, lessons, and general hubbub. The sum total? One terrific bunch of 3rd grade students and one happy teacher! 
I've lived and traveled around the world, but now make my home in California.
By day, I teach; evenings and many weekends, I write.
My teaching, reading, and writing eventually led to a degree in Language and Literacy, and later, an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Vermont College of Fine Arts.
