Yes, you're right. And we've added several new "programs" this year, the result of which is additional planning time taken away from our already full plates.

Dianne,
You probably do have less mental energy than you did last year, because you are teaching a different grade. My brain is totally taken over by teaching. Everything takes twice as long as I need it to.

Time is indeed fleeting. My "to do lists" are growing because my expectations from myself are higher. I want to give my best, but that is nothing new, except now I've set a higher bar. As I work on improving, I find I break a task down into smaller components so I can focus "my best" on each unit of that task. OK, not for laundry, dusting, etc. but in following my passion of writing for children and the developing of recipes. Striving to reach my goals takes more time. It is satisfying. Once I reach that bar and things become easier, I will stretch again. Always growing. Hence the perpetual "to do" lists.

We are two of a kind, my dear.

With the lion's share of each day filled up with teaching, I'm not sure *balance* is within reach, or even remotely possible. Mostly, as you say, it's about trying not to fall off the roller coaster...

It was a glorious treat to read Warriors in the Crossfire! Thanks for writing and sharing it with me. Let the count down begin! Soon, very soon, we'll be celebrating the official debut.

How did you find the time to write about "no-time?"

So very true, how to find balance - like being on a teeter-totter that is on a roller coaster picking up speed. We try not to fall off as we try to enjoy the ride.

Thank you for sharing and even taking the time to read Warriors in the Crossfire. What a friend! nancy bo flood
